Roatan is not just a tropical paradise; it’s also has amazing food and fun drinks. From cozy coffee spots to vibrant bars and delicious meals, this island has it all. Here’s are a few of our favorites we enjoyed during our stay.
Coffee and Sweet Treats
If you’re anything like my husband and I a coffee in the morning is a must but lets be honest coffee is an all day kind of drink (at least in my book). Of course whats coffee with out a sweet treat or two.
- Crazy Bean: This spot is perfect for anyone needing a caffeine fix before a day of exploring.
- Cafe de Palo: 10/10; A charming cafe offering coffee and delicious breakfast. The relaxed atmosphere makes it an ideal place to recharge. This and the chocolate factory were our most visited spots during our trip. I recommend the Horchata Latte.
- The Chocolate Factory: A must-visit for chocolate lovers! Indulge in handmade chocolates while learning about the process of chocolate making. They have the sweet staff and don’t forget to grab your self a few chocolate bars! They make fun flavors but you can’t go wrong with classic coffee or coconut.
- Sweet Beach Lady: If you see a lady selling donuts on the beach, you may think why would I want to buy that. Trust me you do! We unfortunately missed her every time HOWEVER Kathy at Beach house Hotel (where we were staying) grabbed us two Dulce De Leche Donuts. LET ME TELL YOU! I will forever be grateful to her, I love donuts and these were sticky sweet perfection.

Island Dining
- Sandy Buns: Originally from Texas! Theres a reason this place is a breakfast lover’s dream! Their hearty and delicious options are the perfect way to fuel your adventures. 10/10 recommend the cinnamon rolls.
- Creole’s Rotisserie: If comfort food is what you crave, Creole’s Rotisserie is the place to be. Their tender and flavorful dishes are unforgettable. I am not huge on meat (ya ya ya I’m one of those) BUT Creole’s could give me the whole bird and I’d tear it up leaving no feathers.
- Junior’s Patio Pizzeria: Sometimes, you just want pizza—and Junior’s delivers. The laid-back atmosphere and delicious pies make it a great choice for a casual meal. We order to go, will recommend bug spray when picking up or staying to eat. But don’t let that scare you away, the pizza is delicious! We brought it back to the hotel and ate on the balcony is was the PERFECT night. This will be a must on our next trip back!
- Pura Vida: Vibrant dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. This spot captures the essence of island cuisine.
Drinks and Desserts
- Roatan Island Brewing: A local brewery offering craft beers that pair perfectly with the island’s laid-back vibe. Don’t miss their tasting flights!
- Gelato: Cool off with a scoop (or two) of creamy gelato. It’s the perfect treat for a warm island day.
- The Chocolate Factory: Had it some many times it made the list twice!
- Sun Downers Bar: Great drinks, stunning views, and a high-energy atmosphere. This spot is ideal if you’re looking for an upbeat, lively time or you’re in the mood to keep the fun going after a day outt but if it peace & quiet you crave, skip.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re craving a hearty meal, a sweet treat, or a refreshing drink, Roatan’s food and drink scene has something for everyone. Each spot brings its unique flavor to the island’s vibrant culture, making every dining experience a memorable one.
